Doug Johnson
Join us to welcome back Doug Johnson as the Gators get ready to kick off the 2018 season. Johnson was QB for UF from 1996-1999 under Head Coach Steve Spurrier where he amassed some great stats:
- 7,114 passing yards, 62 TD passes (3 in UF history), and 36 INTs
- Holds the SEC record for most TD passes in a game with 7 against Central Michigan in 1997.
- Played 7 seasons in the NFL, mostly with the Atlanta Falcons.
- 2nd round pick in the 1996 MLB draft for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
- Started Reeling for Kids in 2003, which is a fishing tournament that raises money for the Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County.
