OUR HISTORY

The Daytona Beach Gator Club was originally organized in the 1950’s, then known as the Daytona Beach Chapter of the UF Alumni Association under president Max Cleland. In 1963, “Gator Bert” Reames took over as Club President, and paved the way for the club’s official charter with the University of Florida Alumni Association, which was issued on July 1, 1970. Membership in the Daytona Beach Gator Club is automatically included in Volusia County residents’ membership to the University of Florida Alumni Association.

OUR GOALS

We provide merit scholarships to Volusia County students accepted or attending the University of Florida. These funds are garnered through events and fundraisers like our annual Golf Tournament.
