Who we are…
The Daytona Beach Gator Club was originally organized in the 1950’s, then known as the Daytona Beach Chapter of the UF Alumni Association under president Max Cleland. In 1963, “Gator Bert” Reames took over as Club President, and paved the way for the club’s official charter with the University of Florida Alumni Association, which was issued on July 1, 1970.

What we do…
Annually, merit scholarships are awarded to Volusia County students accepted to and/or attending University of Florida. These funds are garnered through events, including The Gator Club Golf Tournament and Dunderfest.
Membership in the Daytona Beach Gator Club is included in Volusia County residents’ membership to the University of Florida Alumni Association.
Our Mission
The mission of the Daytona Beach Gator Club is to foster and enhance the relationship between the University of Florida, its Alumni, Students and friends in Volusia County, and to support the University’s mission of teaching, research and service.
