Let’s kick off the 2022 Gator Football Season with career Gator Sports Journalist Pat Dooley

Pat Dooley spent 44 years in the newspaper business and 26 of them as the columnist at the Gainesville Sun. He also spent 10 years at the Florida Times-Union and Jacksonville Journal. Currently, Pat is writing for WRUF.con, GatorsWire and the UF alumni newsletter while also doing a twice-weekly podcast and radio five times a week. So he’s retired from the newspaper business, but not really retired. Pat has written three books about Florida football and graduated from Florida as well. He lives in Gainesville with his wife Karen and daughter Kelsey and has another daughter Jennifer in Santa Monica where she just gave him a tour of the celebrity graveyard.
